Welcome to GTAa
The official guide to Sunset City: how to start, what to do and how everything works.
GTAa: Grand Theft Arcade is an isometric open-world crime MMO set in Sunset City. Steal cars, run jobs, grow and sell product, buy businesses and land, join a crew, take turf and climb the leaderboard, all in one shared world with other players.
It runs in your browser on desktop, tablet and phone. There is nothing to download or install.

Start playing
- Open game.playgtaa.com.
- Pick how you sign in:
- Play as guest: starts at once. Your progress is saved to a guest account that belongs to this browser.
- Connect Solana wallet: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or any other wallet in your browser. You only sign a short text message to prove the wallet is yours: no transaction, no fee.
- Choose your look and name, and you are in.
If this browser signed in with a wallet before, the start screen shows Continue as with your wallet address instead.
Playing on a phone
- The game works upright (portrait) and sideways (landscape). Portrait has its own layout. A small hint suggests landscape once per session; you can ignore it.
- Wallet login on a phone: if your browser has no wallet built in, the game opens the Phantom app so you can connect and sign, then Phantom sends you back to your browser to play. You can also open the game inside the Phantom app's own browser.

Where you start
New players start at the basketball court in the central park, in the middle of the city. You arrive with $250 in gUSD (the in-game dollars), full health and your fists.
The story starts right away: your burner phone rings and Benny "Two Coats" Okafor tells you where to go. Follow it: the first act teaches every core part of the game. See The story.
Saving
Saving is automatic and happens on the server. You never need to press save.
- Money, items, cars, property and story progress are written to your account within a second or so of changing.
- The game also saves when you close the tab.
- Log back in where you logged out: you come back at the spot you left. If you were in a car or a helicopter, you appear on foot next to it.
The city
Sunset City has seven districts. You will learn them fast:

Open the city map with M (or Map in the menu on a phone) to see every shop, job and district.
