Making money
Jobs, chopping cars, the armored truck, the casino, street ball and rare items.
There are many ways to earn gUSD. This page covers the quick ones. The bigger, slower earners have their own pages: the drug business, businesses and land and crew turf.
Jobs
There are 6 yellow job rings around the city. Stand in one and press E (ACT on a phone). Each ring always offers the same job.
| Job | Rings | Pay | Time | What you do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Package Run | 2 | $270 to $410 | 75 s | Pick up the package at the orange marker, then deliver it |
| Taxi Fare | 2 | $430 to $630 | 90 s | Drive the fare to the destination. You need a car |
| Trash Run | 1 | $250 to $350 | 90 s | Collect the 5 trash bags that appear around you |
| Guard Duty | 1 | $550 to $720 | 150 s | Hold the spot against 3 waves of robbers (2, 3, then 4). Going more than 45 m away fails it |
A job fails when the time runs out or you die. A finished job also gives Hustle XP.
After you finish a job, that kind of job rests for 2 minutes. The ring shows how long is left ("Back in 1:42"). A failed job has no wait.
Chopping stolen cars
Steal a car (see Vehicles), drive it to the chop shop in RUSTWATER DOCKS and press E:
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Chop it | You get 25% of the car's value in cash. The car is gone |
| Clean plates | You pay 40% of the car's value and the car goes into your garage, in your name |
A stolen police car counts as a $6,000 car. A stolen Brio Hatch counts as a $650 car (its dealer price is $6,000). The chop shop does not take legendary or mythic cars, dealer specials or helicopters. The server limits it to 20 chops and 4 clean plates an hour.
The armored truck
Every 4 to 6 minutes an armored truck hits the road. You see a toast and an orange ARMORED TRUCK marker on the map.
- It is locked tight: shoot or ram it until it cracks open.
- A cracked truck pays $2,500 to $4,000, plus a 35% chance of a rare item.
- You cannot drive it off or chop it. If you take too long, the truck gets away.
Casino Oro
Casino Oro on CORAL STRIP is open to everyone. Walk to the door and press E for the tables.
| Game | Bets | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack | chips of $50, $100, $500, $1,000 and $5,000 | Blackjack pays 3 to 2. You can double down. The dealer hits below 17 |
| Lucky Oro slots | $10, $50, $100 or $500 per spin | Three sevens pay 100 times your bet |
Want to own the casino instead? See Businesses.
Street ball
The basketball court in the central park (where you start) has a free mini game. Walk up and press E:
- You get 10 shots. Time each one with Space on the timing bar.
- Every basket pays $25 and a little Hustle XP.
- Then the court needs a 90 second break.
Street pickups
About 26 glowing pickups lie around the city: weapons, health, armor and cash ($300). Each one comes back 30 seconds after someone takes it.
A cash pickup pays you once every 10 minutes. After you take one, it stays gone for you until then (other players still see it).
Income limits
A few earners have limits, so that playing pays and leaving the game open does not:
| Earner | Limit |
|---|---|
| Jobs | Each kind of job rests for 2 minutes after you finish it |
| Cash pickups | One claim per pickup every 10 minutes |
| Crew turf | Income counts at most 20 blocks. Pays only while you play |
| Businesses and buildings | Earn only while you play |
| Plots | At most 2 per player, plus a small daily plot tax |
"While you play" means you moved, pressed a key or tapped in the last 2 minutes. Leave the game open without doing anything for longer (AFK) and that income pauses until you are back.
Rare items
Rares are collectible items with a rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. Open your inventory (I) to see the ones you carry.
Where rares drop
| Source | Chance |
|---|---|
| Street stashes: a glinting stash appears every 4 to 7 minutes and stays for 4 minutes | always a rare |
| Armored trucks | 35% |
| Gang members, crews and rivals you take down (near you) | 8% |
| Big deals: hand-to-hand sales of $800 or more | 2% and up, more for bigger sales (at most 20%) |
| Weapon and cash pickups | 5% |
Cops never drop rares: a downed cop drops only the gun they carried.
What to do with them
- Keep them: they are collectibles.
- Sell them to other players on the player market (Market in the menu, or the Garage and Market building in PALMETTO).
- Fence them: the fence pays 35% to 50% of the item's value at once.
The warehouse: Dock 7 Storage
Dock 7 Storage in RUSTWATER DOCKS is your safe stash for product, rare items and spare guns. What you carry is at risk (dying, getting busted). What is stored is safe.

| Lockup | free | 250 | 8 |
