Answers to common questions and fixes for common problems.

Playing

Is the game free?

Yes. Play as a guest or with a Solana wallet. Signing in with a wallet costs nothing: you only sign a text message.

Does my progress save?

Yes, automatically, on the server. You never press save. When you log back in, you start where you logged out. See Saving.

I lost my progress

Saves live on the server, so progress is not lost when you close the game. Check these first:

Same account? A guest account belongs to one browser. Another browser, another device, a private window or cleared site data starts a new guest.
Same wallet? If you play with a wallet, connect the same wallet address as before.

Still missing? Contact the team with your wallet address (or the name you played under) and roughly when you last played.

Why do I level up so slowly?

On purpose. Every level takes real work, and levels count for the leaderboard and unlock seeds, plots and story acts. See Skills and total level.

The wallet signs me in with another account

The game signs in with the account that is selected in your wallet right now. Switch to the account you want in Phantom (or your wallet), then reload the game.

If your phone browser has no wallet built in, the game opens the Phantom app to connect and sign, then Phantom sends you back to your browser. If that does not work, open the game inside the Phantom app's own browser instead.

Graphics and devices

The picture looks blurry

Open the menu and set Graphics: high. On auto, the game lowers the detail when your device struggles, and sharpens it again once the game runs smoothly.

The game is slow on my device

Set Graphics: low in the menu. Close other tabs and apps.

The page keeps reloading on /play/

Clear the site data for the game and open it again. In Chrome: the icon left of the address bar, Site settings, Delete data. In Safari on iPhone: Settings, Apps, Safari, Advanced, Website Data, then remove the game's site. Your progress is safe on the server (guest players: see I lost my progress first).

My phone will not rotate

The game plays both upright and sideways. If it stays in one direction, check that your phone's rotation lock is off. A small hint may suggest landscape once a session; you can ignore it.

Voice chat

Voice chat does not connect

Switch Voice: on in the menu and allow the microphone when your browser asks. If you blocked it, allow it in the browser's site settings and reload.
Hold V (or Hold to talk) while you speak.
You only hear players near you (about 60 m).
Voice works on mobile networks and strict Wi-Fi too. If it still fails, try another network or browser.

Money and items

Where did my rare item go?

If you died while carrying it, there was a 35% chance it dropped where you fell, for 90 seconds. Store valuable items in your warehouse.

Why did I lose cash?

Dying: the hospital fee is 10% of your cash, at most $2,000.
Busted: a fine of 5% of your cash, at most $2,000.
An angry customer knocked you down: 8% of your cash, at most $200.
Bail if you paid to leave jail.

Can I turn my gUSD into crypto?

That is what the $TTWO Exchange is for. Its pool is not funded yet. Crypto features are in public testing.
