Playing the game
The story
"A Name and a Way In": three acts and fifteen missions that teach you the whole city.
You step off the 4 o'clock bus in PALMETTO with nothing but a name and a phone number on a diner napkin. Downtown belongs to suits, the docks belong to smugglers, the hills belong to whoever got rich first, and every block in between is still up for grabs.
The story starts the moment you arrive. Each mission uses a part of the game you will use every day, and the objective box tells you how to do it: the keys on a keyboard, the buttons on a phone. Finish Act I and you know how to move, drive, lose the cops, grow and sell, work a job and fight.
Press Y (or Story in the menu) to see every chapter and your current mission.
How story calls work
Your contacts call your burner phone.
- A call rings for 20 seconds. Press T or Answer to pick up, or Later.
- Missed it, or pressed Later? The contact calls again 3 minutes later, and if you miss that one too, once more 6 minutes after that.
- After that they wait for you: press T to call them back whenever you are ready. On a phone, tap the story objective box.
- While a call is waiting, the objective box says T to call back.
If a step fails (you die, get busted, leave the area or run out of time), it starts again by itself after 5 seconds.

Catch-up chapters
Green Thumb, Cash Crop and Clean Money were added in October 2026. If you were already past them when they arrived, you get them as catch-up chapters: they play right after your current mission (or at once, if you have none, also after the whole campaign), in story order, with the normal rewards.
A catch-up chapter opens with a Catch-up chapter title card, and its objective box says CATCH-UP. Then the story carries on where you were.
Rewards
The server pays every mission reward: once per account, in story order.
